1. Why should I choose a wheel-based vehicle restraint system?
Wheel-based vehicle restraint systems secure the wheel, the most robust and reliable part of the vehicle, providing optimal restraint. They offer 100% restraining capability.
2. Many vehicles arriving at my docks don’t conform to regular truck standards or have rear impact guards (RIG), such as trailers with lift gates. What can I do to restrain these types of vehicles and maintain safety?
The Power Chock vehicle restraint system restrains the wheel and thus does not rely on RIGs. ALL vehicles, including trailers with lift gates, can be restrained by the Power Chock.
3. Hydraulic-based traditional hooks have a potential for oil/lubricant spillage. Is there a vehicle restraint system that is environmentally-friendly?
The Power Chock vehicle restraint system does not require lubrication and therefore is friendlier for the environment than traditional hydraulic-based hook restraints.
4. The winters in our area can be harsh. Will the Power Chock work here?
The Power Chock is designed to withstand the worst winter conditions. It has been used in northern climates with snow, ice and cold for over 10 years. Specific ground plates are available to accommodate your snow removal method.
5. I am interested in distributing the Power Chock in my area. How can I become a distributor?
The Power Chock vehicle restraint system is currently distributed in cities throughout North America. However, we are always looking for additional distributors and are currently expanding internationally.
